SLT has a 90% success rate in lowering the intraocular pressure. The pressure lowering effect can last for 2-3 years on average. Because SLT is gentle, non-thermal and non-invasive, it is safe to repeat the treatment.

Prior to treatment, eye drops are applied to prepare the eye and provide mild anesthesia. The gentle pulses of light are delivered through a specially designed microscrope. The entire process takes just a few minuets. When it's complete, your physician may treat your eye with anti-inflammatory eye drops.
